New website, who dis?

Hi, we're mostest, and we're here to help.

Our Mission

We bring ideas to life for folks who are tired of the usual industry nonsense, and for those who have never had access to or experience with it before.

Whether we're building custom software, designing full-funnel marketing campaigns, or dropping in for contractual product management, the goal is the same: deliver what matters.

There are too many strategies out there packed with buzzwords and "innovative" solutions to problems nobody actually has. We want to do the exact opposite. Our goal is to execute straightforward, highly functional projects that genuinely work.

We believe in keeping things simple, solving real problems without the drama, and speaking plain English instead of corporate jargon. If a feature, campaign, or roadmap doesn't make your life easier or your business more money, then...why are we having a meeting about it?

Our Team

John Kalland

John Kalland

Founder

The genesis of mostest coincided with the rather sudden (and entirely unscripted) end of John's 18-year career in AdTech, including the last 8 years spent at Amazon. As they say, the hardest part of the routine is the dismount.

But after nearly two decades of watching both fleeting hype cycles and sea-change technological advancements unfold, he has the experience to see exactly which is which.

He's here to act as your technical translator and actually bring ideas to life. Whether that means launching a piece of software, orchestrating an advertising strategy, or automating your least favorite part of your day, he does it in a way that meets you where you're at, without the flaming hoops and red tape.

Gerald

Gerald

Human Creativity Catalyst

Gerald is less any one thing, and more the embodiment of an idea. That idea is simple: success comes from using the right tools for the job, and approaching each project with a completely open mind about what those tools may or may not be.

Think of Gerald as the invisible, tireless force multiplier in the room. Whether it involves writing code, analyzing data, or finding the shortest path to revenue, Gerald represents our commitment to augmenting human creativity with whatever technology best serves the mission.

While there are no bonus points for using AI, there are also no bonus points for spending 2 hours doing things by hand that AI can do in 2 minutes. That said, there is a big difference between giving the human element a rocket pack and building an autonomous rocket pack. We've all seen those movies, and they all end the same.

Why a cartoon sea lion?

First of all, why not?

In a world full of ChatGPT-generated action figures, Gerald is a reminder that mostest often takes the unexpected path. He's agile, incredibly enthusiastic (especially if you have snacks), and frankly, he looks better in a minimalist logo than a project manager does.

Besides, we're a results-oriented business, and we just couldn't pass up the chance to give every successful project a literal Seal of Approval.

Our Philosophy

But why?

We dig past the symptoms to find the root cause, pushing for solutions as far upstream as possible.

If you're going to solve a problem, make sure you're actually solving the right one.

No side quests!

Scope creep makes you act like a player trying to unlock every single power-up before even facing the first boss. Your princess is still in another castle, but congrats on having that rare hat, I guess?

We defend your core objective. Skip the side quests and get the product out the door.

You can always revisit the extras later, using insights from real-world usage to inform what you say "yes" to next.

Inertia is a hell of a drug.

Waiting for a perfect solution is the easiest way to never solve anything.

A partial, working solution out in the wild beats a flawless theory stuck on a whiteboard every single time.

We prioritize momentum and iteration, ensuring that even a "partial" rollout still delivers meaningful, measurable value. Faster.

Reality is sloppy.

We know these principles sound a bit idealistic and absolute. The truth is, the real world is messy and things rarely go exactly to plan.

Not every project gets the luxury of starting with a blank sheet of paper. Constraints always exist. The beauty of a great solution is that it works within those constraints instead of stubbornly fighting them.

Our process is to find the best solution or the best expression of an idea, while realizing that attaining perfection is like running to catch the horizon: you'll die tired before you get there.
